Restructuring at Gask & Hawley means goodbye to an old friend
Over the past 15 years the original company Gask & Hawley Limited has grown through diversification and acquisition into a complete print services group. Each member of the group is a separate limited company and all have taken the initials G&H into their company names, whilst still under the umbrella of Gask & Hawley. The group now comprises of the following companies:
G&H Print Services Limited (Holding Company)
G&H Pre-Press Limited (including former activities of Gask & Hawley Limited)
G&H Sheet Fed Limited
G&H Direct Mail Limited
G&H Web Offset Limited (Chorley & Liverpool)
G&H Distribution Limited
It has taken 18 months to unravel the financial complexities of a company that in 1969 offered typesetting and artwork and had subsequently blossomed into a diverse company with a Twenty Five Million pound turnover. The history and brand of Gask & Hawley meant a great deal to the pioneers of the company but it was felt that the name no longer reflected what we have to offer; whereas the new titles of the individual group companies are more self explanatory. Basically, they do "exactly what it says on the tin." The old name however, will remain in our e-mail and web addresses.
In the coming months the G&H group will move into other areas of the print related "food" chain. Distribution of print related materials is the next venture G&H will pursue and follows the recent award of a One and a Half Million pound contract from Nisa Today/Costcutter to distribute personalised print across the UK. Other contracts are in the process of being negotiated.
In the 21st Century simple ink on paper is not sufficient to provide modern customers with the services they require.
Change is the only constant in our ever evolving business - our history since 1969 clearly bears this out.
